Expanding Prosthetics Success
Our new year begins with clear goals for the prosthetic clinic at Transcarpathian Regional Clinic Hospital in Uzhhorod. Since late November, the clinic has successfully manufactured below-knee prosthetics for amputees.
The Goal: Baylor College of Medicine aims for 25-30 successful fittings to conclude the “system” works, enabling expansion to other Ukrainian hospitals with additional 3D printers.
Smith Graham, Mission volunteer, will live in Uzhhorod to coordinate efforts among stakeholders. Karol Kras will take over with focus on supply chain and patient management system development.
